Privacy Policy

Effective 10 October 2026

The short version: GPXCam collects no data. Your recordings and routes stay on your phone. Nothing is sent to us, and there is no tracking, analytics or advertising of any kind.

Who this covers

This policy applies to the GPXCam app for iPhone and iPad ("GPXCam", "the app"), published by Kernow Labs ("we", "us"). It explains how the app handles information — which, in short, is by not collecting any.

Information we collect

None. GPXCam does not collect, transmit or store any personal information about you. It has no user accounts, no sign‑in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising, and it does not use third‑party SDKs that collect data.

The video and GPS routes you import from your camera are written to the app's own folder on your device, which you can see in the Files app. They never leave your device through GPXCam except when you choose to share or export them, and they are never seen by us or any third party.

Network connections the app makes

Your camera. GPXCam talks to your GoPro over the camera's own Wi‑Fi network or a USB cable, using the camera's local interface, to list and transfer recordings. That traffic goes between your phone and your camera only.

Apple Maps. The map is Apple's. To draw it and to name the place a ride was recorded, the app sends map‑tile requests and the route's coordinates to Apple's mapping services, under Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive nothing from this.

There are no other connections. The app has no server.

Permissions

Bluetooth is used to wake the camera and read its Wi‑Fi details. Local network access is used to talk to the camera. Joining the camera's Wi‑Fi is done with your permission each time iOS asks. None of these is used for anything else, and nothing gathered through them is stored or transmitted.

GPXCam does not ask for your location. The GPS routes it shows come from the camera's recordings, not from your phone.

Purchases

GPXCam is bought once through the App Store. Apple processes the purchase; we never receive your name, payment card or other payment details. We may see anonymous, aggregated sales figures from Apple, which do not identify individual customers.

Children's privacy

GPXCam is rated suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Sharing with third parties

Because GPXCam collects no data, there is nothing to share. We do not sell, rent or disclose any personal information to third parties.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data — for example, if a future version were to add an online feature — we will update this policy and its effective date before that change ships.
